Upgrading a Copier

If you are a few years into your copier lease then it may be time to consider if it is living up to your expectations. Is your copier still able to keep up with the workload that you demand? It’s not uncommon for people to feel that the machine that they used to love no longer can keep up with their demand. In times like this it may be time to consider upgrading your copier.

The main reason that people upgrade their copier is not that their machine isn’t working as well as it used to. In fact, it’s usually that your business demands have changed over the years and you need something to handle those changes. Not everyone can predict what they will need 5 years down the road, and that’s the average length of a copier lease.

If you are considering upgrading your copier then you may want to consider a few things. First, do you want to work with your same leasing company? Getting a copier upgrade can give you an opportunity to move away from your leasing company if you did not like working with them. However, they may make an upgrade easier if its in the middle of your lease.

If you are near the end of your lease then you have more options. Start considering what you are going to need in your new machine. Also think about if expect more changes down the road. If so, consider getting a machine that can handle those changes so you don’t run into the same problem again.
